I have visited this restaurant more than 15 times through the years.It always has the same quality of food and service.The people that work there are really friendly and treat you as their guests.It also is super Vfm.Highly recommended

Possibly the best fava I had in Athens in a week - and I had fava everywhere we went. Delicate, nuanced flavours. Our beef liver meze was perhaps a bit too well done - one of the pieces was still soft so we got the idea of what it could have been. Lovely waiters and great atmosphere though!

We made our reservation for the first night of our 4 week holiday, following a number of recommendations from friends and associates in Australia. The food was well priced and the service was exemplary (particularly the young lady who served us - sorry, we missed your name). We enjoyed the experience so much that on our return to Athens, we made another reservation for the last night of our holiday.

We were recommended by our host to visit the Black Sheep. It’s so popular you have to make a booking. However the staff were very friendly and helpful and are happy to explain and translate the specials. We had the Lamb with roasted potatoes. A perfect Greek dish ! Nostimo!!

Λοιπόν. Είναι από τις πιο τίμιες επιλογές για φαγητό για αυτό και η μεγάλη επιτυχία του. Τα πιάτα του περιορισμένα αλλά εξαιρετικά. Η ποσότητα πολύ καλή και οι τιμές για Αθήνα επίσης. Το σέρβις άριστο. Εξυπηρετηση, ευγένεια με τίμιες προτάσεις . Δεν προσπαθούν να σου φορτώσουν τον λογαριασμό. Αυτά που θα μπορούσαν να βελτιωθούν είναι: Το δικό τους κοκκινο ξηρο κρασί που δεν είναι κακό αλλά σε σχέση με τα φαγητά υστερεί. Δεν έχει μουσική . Στην στην πλειοψηφία των περιπτώσεων όταν το κατάστημα προτείνει γλυκό, συνήθως αυτό παρέχεται χωρίς χρέωση. Εδώ χρεώθηκε. Πιστεύω δεν έγινε με πρόθεση να μεγαλώσει ο λογαριασμός αλλά θα ήταν πιο σωστό και ξεκάθαρο όταν γίνεται η πρόταση για επιδόρπιο να δίνεται ταυτόχρονα και το σχετικό μενού με τις επιλογές. Το cheesecake πάντως τα αξίζει.

Πολύ καλό το φαγητό, εδικά η μοσχαρίσια σπαλομπριζόλα! Επίσης πολύ δυνατό το μιλφέιγ σαν επιδόρπιο. Φοβερή η εξυπηρέτηση από το προσωπικό, ο χώρος συμπαθητικός αν και μη ιδιαίτερα ευρύχωρος. Γενικά καλό value for money, βάσει των δεδομένων της εποχής. Συστήνεται!

Mavro Provato is one of my favorite Greek restaurants in Athens! I can’t leave Greece without dining at this wonderful eatery at least once during my stay. Everything on their menu is absolutely delicious and the staff/service is wonderful; friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend Mavro Provato! It’s a good idea to make reservations in advance as they get quite busy.

Αρχικά πρέπει ν' αναφερθώ στην αμεσότατη και άριστη εξυπηρέτηση!
Για κουβέρ προσφέρονται υπέροχα ξεροψημένα ντακάκια με εξαιρετική σάλτσα ντομάτας! Το κουβέρ συνοδεύεται από ρακή για καλωσόρισμα!
Σειρά είχαν τα ορεκτικά, τα οποία ήταν η πολύ νόστιμη και όσο πρέπει καυτερή τυροκαυτερή και τα επίσης πεντανόστιμα παστουρμαδοπιτάκια σε σχήμα φλογέρας και με εκπληκτική γέμιση!!!!
Από κυρίως πήραμε το αλησμόνητο συκώτι, το οποίο συνοδεύεται με κρεμμύδια και γλυκιά πάπρικα! Απίστευτη νοστιμιά και παρότι ήταν από του τέλειο το συκώτι, τα κρεμμύδια με τη γλυκιά πάπρικα το απογείωσαν!
Εξίσου φοβερά τα μοσχαρίσια μπιφτέκια, τα οποία συνοδεύονται από τον εκπληκτικό πουρέ πατάτας!
Στο κέντρο του τραπεζιού δέσποζε η εξαιρετική σε ψήσιμο και γεύση μοσχαρίσια γάλακτος 500 γραμμαρίων!
Οπωσδήποτε στα συν οι μεγάλες μερίδες, σε συνδυασμό με τις χαμηλές τιμές! Ένα μαγαζί που σίγουρα θα επισκεφτώ ξανά και το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα!

This is our 4 visit in your restaurant and we really enjoyed.
But we think the main dishes menu could be better( starters was truly brilliant). There is no much attractive sea food options . I chose pasta with shrimps and it was too simple , not tasty and not special as your other meals.Hope in our future visit we will find more tasty options.

The food is divine. It is Greek of very high quality. Very fresh products, interesting combinations, not deviating a lot from the Greek cuisine but adding a different touch at times. The service is great, the staff could explain all aspects of food and wine with a smile and a joke. Excellent atmosphere, quite full but willing to accommodate people.
I think it is my favourite restaurant in Athens at the moment.

Ας ξεκινήσω με αυτό… Πάνω απο πέντε αστεράκια στο service! Από πιάτα ημέρας η αλμύρα με την ταραμοσαλάτα εκπληκτική! Φοβερή και η πατατοσαλάτα με τσίρο! Γκιουλμπασι, αν και όχι στα πιάτα που θα έπαιρνα, εξαιρετικό.
Ότι πήραμε μας άρεσε. Ίσως οχι στις γεύσεις μου η πανσέτα. Θεωρώ ότι ήταν παραπάνω ψημένη.. Συνοψίζοντας, ωραία υλικά, δεμένα πιάτα και επιτέλους βρε παιδιά μια μερίδα μακαρόνια όσο πρέπει! Όχι δυο πιρουνιές με ένα κιλό σάλτσα! Εύγε! Θα ξαναέρθω σίγουρα…
Το μόνο αρνητικό είναι το ότι τα τραπέζια μέσα ειναι αρκετά στριμωγμένα. Έφαγα σίγουρα 5 αγκωνιές απο τον τύπο πίσω μου. Τέλος, το wc θα ήθελε πιο συχνό καθαρισμα. Ίσως έτυχε η μέρα.

Επισκεφτήκαμε βραδάκι καθημερινής το Μαύρο Πρόβατο. Το είχαμε προσέξει καιρό πριν, αλλά αργήσαμε να το επισκεφτούμε και το μετανιώσαμε οικτρά! Είναι ένα μικρό διαμαντάκι στο Παγκράτι. Το φαγητό νοστιμότατο και σε μερίδες πολύ μεγαλύτερες από ότι έχουμε συνηθίσει, μεγάλη ποικιλία σε ποτά και άψογη εξυπηρέτηση! Θα γίνει σίγουρα στέκι.

Φάγαμε 2 οικογένειες με παιδάκια 5 ετών. Εξαιρετικό φαγητό με τόσο, όσο πειραγμένες γεύσεις και αρκετά οικονομικό για την εμπειρία που σου προσφέρει. Ίσως λίγο στριμωγμένος ο εσωτερικός χώρος αλλά σε αποζημιώνουν όλα τα υπόλοιπα. Top πιάτα το ρυζότο λαχανικών και η τραγανή σαλάτα. Θα το επισκεφθούμε σίγουρα ξανά και ξανά.

As soon as I walked in after long day I asked the waiter / manager for just a beer while I look at the menu, thinking he would bring a drinks menu. Next minute he starts pouring me a large glass of my favourite beer in front of me. Thing is, I didn’t even say what my favourite beer was! He just knew! That’s what I call great service.

Ελληνική κουζίνα, όχι ιδιαίτερα σύνθετα ή δύσκολα φαγητά, όμως φροντισμένα πιάτα. Κάπως μικρές μερίδες. Άψογη εξυπηρέτηση σε όλα. Μικρός χώρος, καθόλου μουσική (που ενδεχομένως να είναι και πλεονέκτημα).

Πηγαμε για δευτερη φορα στο Μαυρο Προβατο, αυτη τη φορα Κυριακη, γιατι την πρωτη μειναμε πολυ ευχαριστημενοι...
Αριστη εξυπηρετηση ξανα, τα ορεκτικα του ειναι οκ...και καλες ποσοτητες... η χοιρινη τέλεια! οι τιμες καλες σε σχεση με αντιστοιχα εστιατορια.
Θα το ξαναεπισκευθω σιγουρα

μοναδικο ταξιδι γευσεων στο μαυρο προβατο και εφαγα μπριζολα χοιρινη που ηταν παρα ποολυ ζουμερη ενω και οι υπολοιποι που ειπαν πολυ καλα λογια για τα πιατα τους φοβερο μαγαζι μπραβο

εξαιρετικα πιατα δοκιμασαμε στο μαυρο προβατο εκπληκτικους μεζεδες γρηγορο σερβις πεντακαθαρος χωρος και καλομαγειρεμενο φαγητο σιγουρα θα ξαναπαμε

Ωραιο μαγαζι, με ωραιο φαγητο, με φανταστικο τη προβατινα με πουρε αγκιναρας και καλη εξυπηρετηση. Περασαμε τη βραδια ωραια στο Μαυρο Προβατο θα το επαναλαβουμε σιγουρα.

Ένα μαγαζί που πραγματικά θα φάτε καλά, εγω πήγα μαζί με φίλους και έχει γίενι το στέκι μας το μοναδικο Μαυρο Πρόβατα.Οτι καλύτερο!!
