To εστιατόριο REX στην οδό Καποδιστρίου στην
Κέρκυρα έναν από τους
πιο όμορφους και ιστορικούς δόμους της πόλης ακριβώς πίσω από το ξακουστό Λιστόν
εκεί οπού χτυπά η καρδιά της πόλης είναι ένα από τα στοργικότερα κτίρια από το
1932.
Οι τωρινοί ιδιοκτήτες του, η οικογένεια Κατσαρού ανέλαβαν το Rex το 1955 και από γενιά σε γενιά κρατούν αυτό το εστιατόριο στα ιδιά υψηλά στάνταρτ μέχρι και σήμερα καθοδηγούμενο πλέον από τον Κατσαρό Περικλή.
Το εστιατόριο Rex βραβευμένο από τα estia awards είναι ένα από τα πιο παραδοσιακά εστιατόρια της Κέρκυρας με φανατική πελατεία ,κομψό περιβάλλον ,γρήγορο και ευγενικό service και μια δημιουργική μεσογειακή κουζίνα που αντανακλά κερκυραϊκή παράδοση .Ενδεικτικά να αναφέρουμε το ανοιχτό ραβιόλι με κερκυραϊκή γραβιέρα ,τα χοιρινά μαγουλά με κονιάκ κ πουρέ σελινόριζας ,το ψαρί ημέρας με πατάτες Περού φασολάκια και λαδολέμονο με lemongrass.Φυσικά δεν γίνεται να μην δοκιμάσει κάνεις το Σοφρίτο ,ένα πιάτο μια ιστορία.Το εστιατόριο Rex στην Κέρκυρα είναι ένα αστικό εστιατόριο με αίγλη και μεγάλη ιστορία σημείο αναφοράς στην κερκυραϊκή εστιατορική σκηνή.

Excellent lunch experience, The menu included greek classics as well as some modern takes (including the spanakopita).
The baklava+ice cream dish was a favourite.

It was my wife’s birthday, they couldn’t have been nicer. Food was excellent quality, great choices on wine and drinks. We had a great night, we went in early as well as the heavens opened, nothing was a problem.

We decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday at the Rex Restaurant. It was a memorable evening. I had wild mushrooms with artichokes as a starter followed by roasted squid with vegetables. He had scallops in artichoke sauce with truffle oil followed by lamb shank. Everything was beautifully prepared with its own distinctive flavor and was nicely presented. The scallops were outstanding.. We sat on the street side and had the luxury of people watching during dinner. The waiter was excellent. It was our best dining experience in Corfu and maybe even the best in Greece.. Highly recommended!

We had dinner here 4 times and tried different dishes. All were very fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Very friendly and attentive staff that makes you feel welcome. We will certaily come back another time.

We sat outside on a balmy evening with the house martins swooping overhead and the background hum of people chatting, laughing, eating and drinking- like many restaurants in Corfu the tables are cheek by jowl in the pedestrianised street- the service was efficient not effusive, food was so tasty from the scallops to start that weee just an so cooked to perfection - we chose prawns bianco a delicious blend of wine garlic and lemon for the sauce my main was Lamb baked long and slow with potatoes and herbs both just delicious- mono room for dessert on this occasion but sure to return . The couple on the table beside us said they been coming every year for 12 years to this restaurant - I can see why .

I always choose Rex Restaurant when i visit Corfu. I love the ambience and the old corfian venetsian vibe. I tried the new salad with wild greens and nouboulo as well as the local dish pastitsda. Highy suggest a visit.

We really enjoyed the experience at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We paid around 130 euros (including tip) for a bottle of wine, a starter, two main courses and dessert.

We enjoyed an evening with great food in a nice restaurant. The variety of dishes is good, even if the amount is not too big.
The only point to improve would be the possibility or willingness to change parts of the dish, like noodles instead of mashed potatoes.

And try their salty doughnuts as a savory appetizer. Stuffed with warm Greek cheese and drizzled with a sweet & spicy tomato sauce. Incroyable!

🇮🇹Many of the other restaurants found in the main streets of Corfu Town were nothing like that.🤩In addition to being the only one who provided us with an Italian menu, Rex cooked delicious, particular and not expensive foods.🤤Hearty and tasty dishes. the waiters and the owner were really welcoming and nice.🥰Not a single flaw, thanks for everything.❤️

We ate here on a number of occasions during a week stay in Corful and it was by far the best of the restaurants that we tried. Staff were very pleasant and the food was fresh and of high quality.
