Had a lovely meal at Avli tis Idylis, all of the dishes had great flavour, great taste, and were well presented. We had a selection of appetisers as we are vegetarian. Tatsiki, Greek Salad, Cheese croquettes, Stuffed vine leaves and fried potatoes. More than enough food at a very reasonable cost.Ideal if (like us) you want a meal before going to the open air cinema nearby. Thoroughly recommended

This restaurant was recommended by our guide in Athens and we decided to try it on our last night in the city. Everything about the experience was wonderful. We were greeted so warmly by the staff and a gentleman who I believe was the owner. We were seated at a lovely table in their outdoor space where we could watch the hustle and bustle of the surrounding neighborhood. The food was just delicious - from the starters to the dessert! I am gluten free and the restaurant was extremely helpful in terms of helping me to navigate the menu/avoiding cross-contamination. They even had gluten-free pita bread (the only that I had while in Greece)! Overall, we enjoyed ourselves so much and would highly recommend it.

Ladies and Gentleman
If Greek cuisine is your thing and you are in Athens you will be doing yourself a huge disservice if you do not eat here.
Every plate we had was outstanding but the highlight was the Kebab. Even though this dish is historically middle eastern, this Greek restaurant has taken it to another level.
We have returned again and again and again. When we come back to Athens which is at least yearly we visit this restaurant at least twice.
The service is efficient and with a smile.

Attentive and joyful staff and authentic Greek cuisine. Full house on the day and we sat on the first floor with plenty of space and less noise. Seafood and the salads were the highlights of the evening.

We highly recommend this restaurant because the food is deliciós, the waiters are kind and they help you about the food and the dishes if you have some doubts. The ambience is beautiful and peaceful.

Πολύ καλό φαγητό .Όλα τα πιάτα που παραγγείλαμε ήταν άψογα μαγειρεμένα .Το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό .Σε ήσυχη περιοχή στο Θησείο .Πολύ ωραία ατμόσφαιρα .Θα ξαναπάμε σίγουρα !!.

Υπέροχο φαγητό,σε πολύ λογικές τιμές,στην πανέμορφη γειτονιά του Θησείου δίπλα στο βράχο της Ακρόπολης! Σπιτικές γεύσεις( το αρνάκι στο φούρνο ήταν πεντανόστιμο) όλα προσεγμένα και άριστη εξυπηρέτηση... πιστεύεις ότι ίσως βρεις κάτι αρκετά τουριστικό στην γύρω περιοχή αλλά το κάθε άλλο! Θα επιστρέψουμε σίγουρα και το συστήνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!

Si vous passez dans le coin, il mérite que l’on s’y attarde. Vous ne serez déçu.
Le seul petit "hic" étant que je le trouve un peu bruyant mais bon cela fait partie de l'expérience

Το φαγητό ήταν σχετικά καλό, τα ορεκτικά πιο νόστιμα από την ποικιλία κρεατικών που πήραμε!
Η εξυπηρέτηση ήταν εξαιρετική.
Ο χώρος όμορφος και ατμοσφαιρικός, απλώς με αρκετή βαβούρα από τον κόσμο.

Food is very delicious. Kalamari was amazing as well as souvlaki. You should also try tzaciki. Prices are reasonable if you compare the restaurants around. At the end of the meal, they offered us mastik liquor and a dessert with orange.

Όμορφος και καθαρός χώρος. Εξυπηρετικό και χαμογελαστό προσωπικό. Τα πιάτα που πήραμε νόστιμα και ποιοτικά. Φυσιολογικές τιμές. Στο τέλος κέρασμα γλυκάκι και μαστίχα.
