ALANA

The name of the restaurant comes from the old days. Alana was a place where all the neighborhood children would gather to play. First opened in 1986 in the heart of the old town of Rethymnon on the street Salaminos, the main street under the castle of Fortezza and was one of the first taverns. With 200 seats was the busiest part of the old city. In 2002 under new management, the space is transformed into a 100-seater restaurant based on good quality products, attentive service and reasonable prices. Alana made a new beginning by changing completely the restaurant style, serving unique dishes of traditional cuisine in a relaxing environment full of flowers and plants, creating the perfect setting for a dining experience based on inspired local cuisine and excellent service. The restaurant has attracted both visitors to the city and locals with great food, the environment and the hospitality of its owners. The restaurant serves healthy Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine, always using the best products of the local market, always cooked properly. This has established itself as one of the best restaurants in the city based on reviews of customers.
