Lovely restaurant offering a bit more than most places in Skala. Set a short walk from main centre of Skala with fantastic sea views. Staff fantastic and food gorgeous, so good we are returning tonight !

We hebben heerlijk gegeten,, kregen goed advies over een bijpassende wijn. De bediening was zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk. Het terras beeldschoon en het uitzicht op zee beeldschoon.

We stumbled across Sunrise Fish Restaurant in Skala and wasn't disappointed.....
From the Octopus and farva or Zucini in the lightest of batters for starter or the sharing Fish platter for two or red Snapper for mains , the food was a delight and all brought together by the friendly and attentive staff
that made the whole experience one to remember. Well done guys !
Beautiful restaurant with superb views over the sea. Friendly staff and superb fish choices. We had monkfish, mussels and giant grilled prawns all cooked in delicious sauces full of flavour. A special place if you want a special unforgettable evening meal.
We always go here a couple of times each time we are in Skala. The food is lovely and mainly fish based. Its always delicious. The service is great and they always remember us.

From the moment you are welcomed & shown to your table to the minute you leave you are subtly & perfectly looked after. A great menu with plenty of choices if you are not a great fish lover. although if you are, then you are in for a treat. An extensive & wide ranging wine list from the island across Greece so with the expertise of George you can easily pair the wines with your food within your price range. Such a beautiful setting facing & close to the beach so just remember that it is called Sunrise for a reason so you will see the moon rise in the evening & no sunsets, however this does not detract. The decor & ambience are perfect for the location. If you are nervous go along & take a look at the menu before deciding. We would not miss a visit for the world on every trip to Kefalonia. Our only disappointment is that we can eat there every day of our holidays each year!

All dishes were presented very well and cooked to perfection; warm homemade foccacia with dips added to the starters we chose.
We ate here on our last night in Skala. It's a lovely place in a great location, quiet with only the sound of the sea.
Staff are very attentive and friendly.
It is more expensive than most of the restaurants in the town, with mains being about 20% above the average. They also only sell wine by the bottle, which means the carafe of house wine isn't an option, so adding substantially to the bill.
Most of the food is fish with lobster being the most expensive option at about 120 euros for 2. We had monkfish and tuna, swapping the plates halfway through. Despite some rave reviews, I found the food slightly disappointing. The monkfish came with spinach and a tomato sauce. There was a lot of spinach and not so much monkfish. The tuna was overcooked. I had asked for it medium rare but it was well done. As a result it was very chewy. However it was a very generous portion.
We also had fried courgettes for starters, which was divine and ekmek dessert - again really good.
Sunrise is a destination location for Skala and something for a special occasion, mainly because of the location and ambiance.
We had a Negroni cocktail and the fish platter, plenty of fish to be had, it was very good, waiting staff are attentive, all round good experience

A truly perfect restaurant both in terms of food and location. If you love fish, you can't miss a visit to Sunrise! I have been coming to Kefalonia for almost 30 years and I have rarely found a dish so well prepared and presented, perfectly cooked, with friendly and impeccable service. Congratulations to George and all his young collaborators!

Il ristorante è bellissimo, abbiamo mangiato divinamente, abbiamo ordinato una bella grigliata di pesce, ottima veramente, pesce freschissimo! Se torneremo in vacanza a Skala sicuramente mangeremo da voi! Top!

The food was delicious the wine complemented the meal which we ate whilst looking out onto the beach and ocean and the customer service given by Alex was outstanding

We have been visiting the Sunrise for the last 10 years and we are always blown away by the welcome, the service but most of all the incredible food!!! Ever evolving and always great value for money and the quality of food served. We will be back tomorrow for our last night treat!!!

The setting of the Sunshine Fish Restaurant is heavenly, right on the sea, and away from the crowds in Skala. The food is great, as are the staff.

Das Restaurant hat die besten Kalamares die ich je gegessen habe. Alles hat super lecker geschmeckt und war nicht serviert wie in einer klassischen Taverne. Lachs mit Sojasauce, noch nie in Griechenland gegessen, war aber unfassbar lecker.

Beautiful location, service just fabulous and the food some of the best we’ve had!
The crab salad was divine and the seafood risotto sublime….each mouthful was delicious , there’s no surprise we went back for our last night and took some friends with us who thought it was fabulous too.

This was a very welcoming venue to have a scrumptious meal. The staff were very accommodating and the food was delicious.
Went for lunch initially and came back for dinner at another time. The best Salmon Salad we ever tasted. Food was great and we had free desserts when the bill came. A bit on the pricey side (saw the same wine bottle we had in the shop less than half the price). But naturally, it is to be expected as it came with good service. Overall, great experience. We would come back.
Raw tuna salad(Tata) is perfect appetiser. Seafood platter, sardines are the surprised one🥳🥳very tasty!!!
I dined at Sunrise three times during my week in Skala, I loved this restaurant !!
The location is lovely, right by spithi beach . The quality of the food and originality of the dishes, were 10/10!
However mostly what I enjoyed was the service , Theodore was so lovely and looked after me and my requests during my meals, really well! He was attentive, friendly and very kind ! I left with a smile everytime, what a lovely person .
I will definitely visit Sunrise restaurant again next time I'm in Kefalonia!
Best fish we have eaten in Skala due to it being cooked so well ie not over cooked as many other restaurants. The service is attentive and welcoming.
Service was quite slow . Starters was very nice. My main main was disappointing. Monkfish with spinach but very little monkfish and way too much spinach ( ok if you are popeye) . We had better meals in other restaurants for less money.
Managed two visits during our trip. Returning the second time as first visit was amazing. When we visit the Island in the future we will definitely return ❤️

Splendid fish platter for 2 met our requirements fully. Waiters had great sense of humour without being rude in any way. Desserts more than enough for 2 (should have shared one!) and Ekmek was lovely

Η καλύτερη ψαροταβέρνα στην ευρυτερη περιοχη. Όλα τα φαγητά που παραγγείλαμε ήταν νοστιμα, φρέσκα και καλομαγειρεμενα. Αλλά το πιο σημαντικό μέρος αυτού του εστιατορίου είναι οι εργαζόμενοι που εργάζονται εκεί. Όλοι είναι τόσο ευγενικοί και φιλικοι. Οι τιμες ηταν πολυ λογικες και η ποιοτητα αρίστη!
