Mirra redefines the importance of island comfort food.In only its third year, the beautiful restaurant of Nikolas Lambrogeorgos and Constantina Roussos is establishing itself not only as a reference point for informed foodies, but also as a popular gastronomic destination for the up-and-coming Kythnos. A few meters from the port of Kythnos, Mirra welcomes guests with a unique view, a unique atmospheric setting and an unexpected cuisine that redefines the concept of "simple" food with non-negotiable raw materials and gastronomic proposals that step into the present and enrich holidays with exciting brunch and must taste dinners.  This year's revamped menu evolves and articulates elegant appetizers, upgrades pinsa recipes, takes off with pasta suggestions, revs up burgers....and completes the culinary necklace with top cuts of beef. For yet another year, Nicholas,draws on his rich experience at influential restaurants such as Milos and Vezene and in collaboration with talented executive chef Stefanos Saranto co-write the deliciously endowed menu, transforming everyday flavours, leaving their tasty footprint and giving shape and roles to many local and Cycladic ingredients such as cheeses, honey and vegetables.From early noon onwards, dishes of summer heritage are served, which are worth the visit and the time to those who are or are thinking of visiting Kythnos. Appetizers come finely detailed and exuberant, such as the perfectly slow cooked beef sashimi with black truffle or teriyaki ponzu, the delicious smoked octopus carpaccio with oil lemon, hummus, yuzu and swallowfish eggs and the original goat cheescake.In the case of Pinsa the choices are numerous and all on the must-try menu with the Cycladic, Tartufo and Pancetta e gorgonzola catering for all tastes and requirements.A special mention goes to the superlative pasta. Each recipe showcases the ingredients and creates on the palate a tasty party of delight. To get a taste try the explosively fresh Tortlloni giganti stuffed with lobster and crab or the elegant linguini with eggplant.We reach the best seller smash burgers with handmade burger that breaks them down, check out the Sweet Chilly and the high cuts that are a reason alone to have an unforgettable gastronomic experience at Mirra.
