We had mousaka which was excellent and also had pizza with really good sauce. Friendly staff, very attentive. And you could tell the owner knew a lot of people, very friendly place. Would highly recommend. Right next to Wyndham grand so very convenient also.

We went two nights and had excellent service, quaint ambiance and food prepared with love. We have tried the homemade soups, lamb, bread and salad and everything was amazing!

We found this restaurant while walking around Athens and decided to try it out that evening. We all really enjoyed it. I am vegetarian and there was plenty for me to eat. The staff were all very friendly.
We ordered steak, pizza and salads. Everything was tasty.

We spent one night in Athens and made a reservation for this restaurant. We were greeted in a friendly manner, our table wasn’t quite ready however we were seated on the bar and offered a shot of complimentary Usso. Our table was ready less than 5 minutes later.
We ordered: octopus salad, mixed meat grill kebabs and bread/eggplant beef dip to start. The food was traditional, delicious and service was amazing )very fast). I’ll miss this place, definitely recommend coming here!

We looked over many choices on the menu and then decided on the seafood for two, wow was a very nice meal.
Every time we visit Athens we book a place at Alexander the Great, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant and the service is kind, we already miss the next timeplace

This is the BEST restaurant that my parents and I have tried in Athens! The calamari was fried to perfection, fried anchovies were super fresh, grilled dorado fish was big and fresh, and lamb chops were perfectly grilled- full of flavor and meat was juicy! I also really enjoyed the dipping sauces that came with the complimentary bread and olives - the white sauce (I believe it was tzatziki sauce) and fresh tomato sauce paired perfectly well with not only the bread but the calamari as well. The owner is super nice and friendly too! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an affordable and filling meal :)
