The food is very good and good proportions. The service is good. We got a warm blanket because it was cold due the wind. There was live music with dansers and a photographer. Everything for a good price. Absolutely have to eat here when you are around!

I made a last minute reservation to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant has seats outdoors so you can see the beautiful sunset. They even offered us blankets as it was chilly outside. The food was absolutely amazing! Everything tasted great and the portions were perfect. They sang me happy birthday and gave me ice cream to celebrate my birthday. I was on a solo trip, but I never felt lonely here. I would definitely recommend

It looks like the touristy spot (because it is), but once you get inside you will discover something very different.
First time at the Island restaurant, first time in Crete. Celebrated my daughters 17th birthday here. Every appetizer and every entree we ordered was delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I mentioned it was my daughters birthday and they made her feel special with a dessert and song to celebrate. Highly recommend 👌

We had a wonderful evening at this beautifully located restaurant right by the water. The atmosphere was truly lovely, with a fantastic view and a stylishly arranged dining area. The only small thing missing, in my opinion, would be tablecloths, but that’s a minor detail.
We visited during a special event featuring a saxophonist and a singer – both were absolutely amazing and added a unique and elegant touch to the experience.
The food was excellent. High-quality ingredients, well-prepared dishes, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and everything arrived quickly after ordering. One small suggestion: for a restaurant of this level, a smaller and more focused menu might be more fitting.
There’s also a great selection of drinks, many of which are homemade, and they were all delicious.
The service staff was very friendly and tried their best, but seemed a bit overwhelmed due to the number of guests. At times, it took a while to get someone’s attention, and splitting the bill among a group proved to be a bit complicated.
The food prices were fair – not cheap, but appropriate for the quality offered. However, I found the drinks to be quite overpriced in comparison.
All in all, we had a really lovely evening and would definitely come back. A great restaurant – highly recommended!

We stood there in family. It was our last evening before going back home. And it was a great evening. Everything was fine : the table, the sunset, the dises, the drinks, the atmosphère.
We could enjoy a greek folklore group who danced and made music.

The views were absolutely unreal, the music and ambience was amazing and not to mention the staff were very accommodating and very attentive. Even the photographer was really nice to chat to and does amazing work.

We were on holiday and noticed this restaurant at night, booking was very easy and really welcomed young children. Fantastic views, staff were amazing and tentative. Would love this restaurant back home…..
The most beautiful setting for any restaurant I have ever been to. From the decor inside to the amazing patio outside reaching down to the sea front allowing for the most stunning sun set ever seen. Food was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic and I had one of the best rose wine ever. Yes it’s not the cheapest on the island but it’s worth every penny for the food and views alone. Entertainment too which was a bonus. Staff was very tentative and so helpful with my daughter’s allergy and we had a lovely platter of food given free with a shot of ouzo too .

Me and my partner were so pleasantly surprised. Turned into our favourite night of our week long stay due to this restaurant. The staff is so incredibly helpful and lovely, food is served uniquely which is a lovely holiday experience, defintely makes you feel special. The view was like nothing I’ve ever seen, just straight out of a movie. We were freshly engaged and the staff was so helpful with taking some pictures for us to announce our special news. Prices are very good too. Genuinely could not reccomend it any more. Would be a crime to come to this area and not visit this restaurant.
Wow! What i can say, our whole experience from start to finish was amazing. The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. We came on a Friday night had the chance to watch the sunset and was also Greek night with singers and dancers. Was a fantastic experience took my breath away how beautiful it was. My teenage daughter got a little chilly and they brought out warm blankets for her. Honestly if you are in Gouves go visit. Yes it maybe a little pricey but you get what you say for. Thank you for a lovely evening.
