We enjoyed Alchamea Lounge so much that we visited twice during our week in Pyrgos.
The restaurant has a beautiful setting, and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into every detail, both indoors and outside. It feels stylish without being pretentious and has a lovely atmosphere.
The food was excellent. We really liked the modern Greek tapas concept as it gave us the chance to try lots of different dishes. Everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavour and clearly prepared with care. Between our two visits, we managed to work our way through a good part of the menu and didn’t have a dish we wouldn’t order again.
What made the experience even better was the team. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and happy to explain the dishes. My husband is a chef and enjoyed chatting with one of the front-of-house staff about the food and ingredients.
A fantastic restaurant and one we’d happily recommend to anyone visiting Pyrgos.
Alchemia was clearly our favorite when we visited Santorini in May 2026. Greek food, close to tradition, but by all means not the standard ‘tavern-stuff’. The wood oven adds to the authentic flavor of the, mostly locally sourced, products. Served in a great ambiance by a very welcoming, professional and friendly staff.

I took my wife there for dinner, and it exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time.
The location itself is remarkable, offering a beautiful and serene view of the island and the sea, while a cool breeze washes over your face.
Moreover, the service from the gentlemen working there was impeccable—friendly and warm, yet gentle.
Lastly, the food was delicious, with portions perfectly sized. For the main course, my wife had the kokora and I had the ribeye steak. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted magnificent.
As we were walking back to our car, I was already thinking about coming back to try other items on the menu.
