A gem in Plaka, everything was great: restaurant, food, view and service
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here and had a fantastic night. The food was incredible and the service even better. The staff made my daughter feel special on her birthday.
We visited Giovanni’s twice during our stay in Elounda and each time was lovely.
The restaurant was the only one vibrant and busy out of all them in Plaka, which speaks for itself.
The staff are super friendly. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so we were treated to drinks on the house while we waited 5 mins.
The first night we at in the restaurant it was super windy outside and so everyone was inside.
My starter of the crab roll, wrapped in fine ribbons of avocado was just delicious.
I then had seafood risotto for main course.
The complimentary fresh fruit is a lovely refreshing touch at the end.
The second time we came, was our last night of the holiday and the weather had calmed down and so we sat outside overlooking the crystal blue sea looking out to Spinalonga.
It was just a beautiful setting and the perfect way to end our holiday.
Thank you Giovanni’s we will be back!
Our third visit to this excellent restaurant. Sea bass and Sea Bream were excellent. Just great at preparing and cooking wonderful fish.

Love the Sea Bass and de boned at our table,
As our main course we selected the sea bass in the salt crust and the sea bream made with veggies in a foil. Both were excellent. Services was very good, too! Overall, we had a great dining experience overlooking the sea and Spinalonga.
Yet another wonderful meal at this amazing family run restaurant in Plaka, Crete. As always, the welcome was more like greeting family members, and the food - hummus and grouper - was stunning! That’s without mentioning the view across to Spinalonga!

Glad we booked an outside table as views over Spinalonga are gorgeous and we were lucky to watch full moon rising over the island.

On the water's edge, excellent location, amazing service, delicious food even though the price is a bit more expensive than the other taverns on the island. We had a great time Our second time on the island and in the restaurant and not the last time!

Dawno nie byłem w tak pysznej restauracji. Wszystko smakowało przepysznie! Byliśmy 13 osobowa grupa i każdy był zachwycony. Smażone kalmary, dorada, małże wyśmienite. Makaron z owocami morza w sosie z szafranem zamiótł!
Wspaniała rodzinna atmosfera! R. Makłowicz miał racje polecając ta restauracje na swoim kanale!

Our children sampled octupus nearly every day in our 10-day trip and "awarded" Giovanni's as the best of the trip and my husband said possible of his life. The salt-crusted sea bass and lobster pasta were also outstanding. A "must visit" if you are in the Elounda area.
The scene of the restaurant on the shoreline was surpassed by the quality of the food and service. The seafood was phenomenal!! We ate there twice due to the high quality experience.

Πολύ ωραίες γεύσεις, καλό ψάρι, εξαιρετική θέα στη Σπιναλόγκα, άμεση εξυπηρέτηση. Κάθε φορά που πάμε Κρήτη το επισκεπτόμαστε ανελλιπώς.
